Data T1, Metro-Ethernet & yes size matters.

filed Filed under: News

Everyone wants super fast Internet but every real world business always has to ask one critical question at what cost.  Today’s technologies are now changing the economy of scale for business owners.  In the past T1 or T3 internet was the default when you need a quick way to the internet.  As a point of reference 1 T1 is 1.5 Megabits and a T3 to confuse everyone is 45 Megabits.  So these were big difference both in speed and cost.  Fortunately you can bond T1’s and incrementally increase speed at 1.5 Meg intervals.  The advantage of T1 and T3 is that they are readily available through our existing copper based infrastructure and does not demand fiber to be deployed.  Also these internet products offer the same download and upload speed so for businesses they are always a great solution.  Luckily today business owners now have Metro-Ethernet as a product and yes, you can get an Internet Metro Ethernet circuit the speeds can match T1 and T3 speeds but more importantly they can far exceed those traditional speed it is not uncommon to have 100 Meg, or even 1000 Meg, speeds and the costs in many cases are far better than those same speeds over T1 or T3.  Allot of these scenarios do depend on where the physical location of the building is and how close it is to the available facilities and services.  At Telco Solutions we work with the top carriers in every region in the US, and  having a consultant that represents the business owners interest and not the carriers interests is always a great way to help make a telecommunications decision.  If you have any questions as to which solutions is best for your business please feel free to contact us so that we can analyze your needs and match the best solutions for you.  As you can see size can determine cost and based on your needs we want to make sure you get what you want and need.
